After 3 days of rest I left Tarascon early today when sun was still low and shadows long.

I made as far as Agde on the coast.

Followed the “Canal de Rhône a Sete” down to Camargue ..

This is all part of the Via Rhône bike path going south….

Big wine area here also – mostly Rose. So many Château’s …

House boats lining the shores in many places …

Camargue is the Rhône delta – a big flat swampland …

Passed many flamingos … they only had some pink under their wings. Wonder if this is a seasonal thing and they get more pink in different season?

Got soo hot – around 102F – and no shade for miles …

Dusty flat gravel road forever … most of the way to Agde. Felt like I had half the road stuck to me when I was done – that’s how black I was ..
