
Made it to Chalon-sur-Saône today, as the name indicates it’s a city on the Saône river. I followed the Doubs river most of the day. Leaving Besancon I passed this old sluice house.

Further down the river I watched these two boats who had queued up to get through the sluise …


Oh – and I passed this bakery and of course had to try ..

Tarte a l’abricot with an Orangina … délicieux. Unfortunately they were out of croissants…

Passed the city of Dole on the way – definitely worth visiting ..
