
Today was a long day – I made it to Schleswig Germany (another 80 miles). The picture above is me passing the border. “Self service” gate in the woods. It was a very flat route but I hit the “Danish Alps”, as the wind is called in Denmark. The wind had picked up and was sometimes right against me.

Wheat and potato fields to the eyes end – this part of Denmark is very flat. No protection for the wind.

More small village churches always surrounded by immaculately maintained cemeteries…

Passed Hærulfstenen another rune stone from the Viking age along Hærvejen …

And always tons of tumulus from the Bronze Age. Most of these have still not been excavated and the farmers are obliged to farm around and leave them alone …

FIRST puncture of the trip – I better buy some more tubes …
